Top NYC Personal Injury Lawyer Websites

Jul 15, 2015

As part of our attempt to help recognize great websites, we’re going to start blogging about the various different legal practice areas, and the various people who rank well + have great websites. We have no intent of being biased – we simply want to recognize great work, and perhaps even explain why a certain website ranks well.

For this initial blog post, we’re going to look at personal injury lawyers in New York City. As you may, or may not know, NYC is one of the most competitive markets in the country. New York City has the highest population among all cities in the USA. As a result of the density, it leads to fertile ground for high competition. Many of the nations power-players, like Cellino-Barnes, who spend ten’s of thousands of dollars each month in TV advertisements are based out of here. This makes for a potentially powerful display of advertising muscle power.

Now, most lawyers in high competition cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and other similar cities, employ firms like FindLaw, Justia, and other “bigger,” marketing agencies. In New York, many of the firms on page 1 of Google for keywords like, “NYC Personal Injury Lawyers,” don’t really use any of those marketing agencies. This is a stark contrast to the rest of the country.

Union Law Firm

Hach & Rose, also known as Unionlawfirm.com, is a firm that’s been around for a while. We’ve seen them rank consistently, with some minor fluctuations, on page 1 of Google for important keywords. Most recently, they changed their website to this newer design. It’s retained some similar elements to what they had before, but it’s definitely gotten cleaner. The lack of clutter and the “straight, to the point,” approach while retaining cosmetic beauty makes this website a keeper. It clearly states why a consumer should pick the law firm, right off the bat. We think that functionally, it works great. Many lawyers often reach out to us, wishing they had a cleaner website – and we feel this is a great example of a clean website in New York. While it lacks some of the flash other websites may choose to incorporate – it does a great job at explaining why the firm is an expert — without interfering in the ability of the user to read the content.

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP

This is another law firm in NYC – that has been a consistent “ranker,” in terms of personal injury keywords. It’s very interesting, recently the firm changed it’s homepage, and created a new version of it, while keeping the inner pages in the older design style. We think that the new homepage is similar to Hach & Rose, in that it conveys the values, principles, and “benefits,” of hiring the law firm – without interfering. It is definitely “busier,” than Hach & Rose, but does a good job at adequately keeping the attention of the reader, without interfering. In particular, they’ve done a great job at breaking up the content into different folds on the homepage, and adding enough padding between the different folds so that it doesn’t feel like it’s too much information. The website feels very approachable, and color scheme is great.
